Director of Financial Reporting

We are currently working on an opportunity to join a well regarded and growing Western New York company in a key leadership role. The Director of Financial Reporting will have responsibility for a number of functions and processes including but not limited to: managing the entire financial reporting process including all SEC filings, leading a small staff of accountants/analysts, acting as the primary point of contact for investor relation functions, presenting financial results to executive leadership and board members, providing technical leadership on complex purchase accounting issues relating to acquisitions, and other high level strategic projects as needed. It is imperative that a successful candidate has significant exposure to complex technical accounting issues, specifically as they relate to publicly traded entities and SEC filers. Big four public accounting experience is strongly preferred, as is experience in an industry leadership reporting role. In addition to the above, the successful candidate must possess superior organization skills, the ability to prioritize and manage complex projects while adhering to tight deadlines, as well as excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
