Starter Engineer and/or Alternator Engineer

Our client, an international manufacturing facility, is seeking a Design Engineer for Starter Motors and a Design Engineer for Alternators. These newly implemented positions are located in Michigan and Western New York.
The employee will be designing and developing new & derivative starter motor products utilizing rotating electrics to support new & existing alternators and starter motor designs. All designs are required to meet customer specs using design optimization requirements. The employee will assist in improving manufacturability of products using GD&T and Tolerance Stack-up analysis. Deigns will be developed as 3D product models using ProE and should determine practicality and design for manufacturability as required. The employee will also act as a member of product quality improvement teams to continuously improve durability & reliability of products. Successful candidates should have their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/ Technology. Two years engineering experience, rotating electrics design experience, and ProE design experience is preferred. Ability to travel is required. Relocation is available.
