Customs Specialist

Our client, an international manufacturing and distribution facility, is seeking a Customs Specialist for their Western New York facility. The employee will be responsible for international customs compliance. Employee will research, analyze, and assign HTS classifications; assist with internal audits; maintain records for all transactions; produce all documentation; interface with outside brokerage agencies and governmental departments; and ensure timely clearance. Strong analytical skills, strong knowledge of US/Canadian import/export transactions, customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and good pc skills are strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree and Customs Brokerage License necessary. Knowledge of HTS and trade agreements (NAFTA, FDA, FTA, etc.) preferred.
