Procurement Manager

We are currently working on an excellent newly created opportunity to join a well regarded Western New York company ina procurement management role. The Corporate Procurement Manager will have responsibility for a number of functions and processes including but not limited to: managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing for goods and services purchased, managing a team of corporate procurement specialists, sourcing innovative or creative ways to reduce cost and drive efficiency, special projects, and more. A successful candidate must have at least five years of corporate procurement experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a management capacity, as well as strong communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have significant exposure to senior management and executives, and put together detailed analyses aimed at reducing costs, structuring favorable long term agreements, and ultimately, driving business decisions. An ideal candidate should have experience designing and leading commodity or sourcing teams. In addition to possessing strong technical abilities, the successful candidate must possess strong leadership skills, the ability to prioritize and manage complex projects, and excellent interpersonal skills.
